More About the Outer Limits!
The Outer Limits was built for cruising Alaska’s waters. The Little Hoquiam hull was finished by Admiralty Marine in 1994 and put into service cruising the following season. She has a registered length of 60’ and a beam of 17’. Her custom design was well thought out and provides an amazing amount of space and a fit and finish not often seen on a yacht this size.
The main cabin has a fully equipped galley making meal preparation a pleasure. The salon has comfortable seating for all to relax and enjoy scrumptious meals, fine wines, and camaraderie. Amenities include large picture windows, flat-screen TV, DVD, CD player, and satellite radio. The wheelhouse is open to the salon and provides seating with a view of the journey ahead. The wheelhouse is equipped with all of the latest and greatest electronics and more importantly, a captain that knows how to use them.
Outside areas include a covered, lighted walk-around deck and back deck. Guests often gather in the forward seating area for relaxation, conversation, and photo opportunities. A large flying bridge above provides another area to enjoy the sun and sea breeze. The Outer Limits is equipped with a hydraulic line hauler to pull shrimp pots in the summer and crab pots around Kodiak in the fall. We carry a variety of fishing equipment for saltwater fishing and shore excursions to streams. On the bow is a very large anchor tackle for your safety.
The lower deck is accessed by stairs descending from the salon and holds the accommodation space and engine room. The Outer Limits has four staterooms. Three are appointed with a double bed featuring a single over it and a private bath with sink and toilet. The forward stateroom has three single beds with the main bath being next door, featuring a large shower. As with all vessels, the accommodations are not huge, but the well-thought-out design of the Outer Limits provides exceptionally large and comfortable cabins. Further down the passageway behind a sound-resistant door is the engine room containing two Caterpillar diesel propulsion engines and a Northern Lights generator set, along with multiple pumps, chargers, and a water maker. The engine room exits to the back deck.
The Outer Limits has spent her life cruising Alaskan waters. She is in her element cruising these scenic waters and is designed for your comfort and safety.
